Executive Team

Carmen Arias holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She has been recognized for her academic and professional accomplishments by Forte Foundation (Forte Fellow, 2015) and Columbia Business School (Project Charity Trust Fellowship, full tuition). She currently serves as Director for the Barrié Foundation, where she leads the design, implementation and evaluation of the programs approved by the Board of Trustees. Before joining the Barrié Foundation, she worked with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, on philanthropic projects in the fields of education, the arts, social entrepreneurship, and social inclusion. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, Carmen was an Associate Consultant at Management Solutions, where she advised financial institutions in Europe and Latin America on risk and capital management. She began her professional career in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. Carmen serves on the Executive Committee of the Barrié Foundation Fellows Association since 2016.
